I have just finished this book, and I must say in my humble opinion, wow. I am always amazed at the various ways Q has been portrayed, but this book fits him to a "T". He is supremely confident and arrogant, love it. Anyway this book is about how the end of the universe happens and Q has to find his son, little q and his wife, the lady Q. Naturally Picard and Data are drug along just so that Q can have someone to whom he can rely on to keep him in his place so to speak. The reluctant trio go through many phases of grief and death and finally what seems to be acceptance but isn't. The one who started the end of the Universe is the one you would least expect. This is a great book for Q fans and even those who thought Q was stupid. I give it four stars out of 5, we can't have Q thinking he's perfect now, can we?? I hope you all read it and enjoy it as much as I have.

I read "I,Q" some time back, and I did thoroghly enjoy it, like I do with most all of Peter David's works. One needs to wonder how much actual input John deLancie had in the writing of the book (just as how much of the Kirk novels is really Shatner as opposed to the Stevenses), but no matter, it was a well done piece.

Kirks novels ie Shatner are pretty much all Stevens and ReevesGarr I think. He cannot seem to write a novel without a lot of help. It would be great to think that DeLancey has a lot of input as to the Q character. I am reading the Q Continuum now. Pretty cool book.......
