First off, I am surprised there are not more threads about these movies becuase of its over-wealmingly popularity. I mean does anyone like LOTR, and have seen the 2 movies? I would think with a 60 million gain at the box office for this last movie, and a 37 million for the last, it would be popular around here and any LOTR message board. Anyway, yesterday I went to go see The Two Towars, and before I talk about it, I should mention that I thought the first one was ok, but very overrated. I thought because of the 3 hours, it was boring, to long, and it could have been cut down in half. Also, I know its a triligy and all, but they should have at least exaggerated the ending to actually bring closure to the first part. S P O I L E R S Well like I said, yesterday I went to go see the new movie, and I really enjoyed it. I loved that instead of focusing on the scenery of middle earth like the first one, they were focusing on the main story. There were only 2 things I found annoying with the movie and they were the tree story and Gollum. My god he is annoying. Other than that, I liked the battle scenes with King Theron's men against Suron's Army, and the love thing with the Elf female and Aragorn. I don't want to offend any hardcore trek fans out there, but as a movie-goer, I enjoyed this movie more than I enjoyed Nemesis. Finally, something this movie did that "Fellowship" didn't do, was make me more interested in the whole story and actually looking foward to "Return of the King." Hell, bring it on, I can't wait.

I too loved The Two Towers. It went so quick it was like it wasn't even three hours long. The grandeur of this movie was just incredible. I was in love with everything. The way the battle went, the way Merry and Pippin were able to escape and how Treebeard was so angry about what was done to the forest and his friends. The way that Aragorn finally rose to meet his destiny instead of running from it. Gimli the dwarf has a special place in my heart because he is so brave and so willing to follow Aragorn and Legolas into the mouth of hell itself if deemed neccessary. I am so excited for the next one and cannot wait to own Two Towers on DVD. Put me down for a space in line at the theater.

LOTR was a totally over-rated piece of work, with the only major strong point being the effects, which are now looking dated.
Seriously.
As hard and fast as LOTR came, it will go. Or rather, it HAS GONE.
LOTR is dead.
