For the second week in a row, Enterprise has given us a quality Star Trek episode. Last week a social commentary, this week a character driven vehicle. Good performances all around. TOS forshadowings: Starship captains being the first line of diplomacy in newly explored areas, perhaps the cornerstone of the Federation being laid. Good to see Suzi Plakson back in Trek... Okay, maybe Soval isn't a Romulan, but I still think he may be...either that or he's just one grumpy old Vulcan. He DID say he served in the Vulcan Intelligence...what better place for a spy to serve... We see the answer to the question of how humans will help found the Federation...obviously even the Vulcans can't keep a level head long enough to be diplomatic. The banter between Soval and T'Pol was worth rewatching...Soval's obvious disdain that T'Pol actually enjoys serving among humans is priceless.
