As Spring Training rolls on and the regular season approaches its chilly start (though the Yanks are opening in Tokyo), which team do you root for? Only eight choices, so I had to be relatively general. If you choose "Other," post your choice. Play ball!!

Yeah, I admit it. I'm a Cubs fan and they're going all the way this year.

One of my ex-girlfriends was a Cardinals fan, from Oakville (or Mehlville, depending on which way you were facing)...she would pick me up at the airport and get immediaitely p'd because of my Mets hat...I even took it with me to Busch Stadium where I rooted for the Dodgers during a double-header...and this was in '87 when the Mets-Cardinals rivalry was at its height. The guy next to me goes "You're not from around here, are you?" He didn't like that I was from up east, very close to New York. "Don't say the M-word, okay?" he said while my girlfriend growled behind me in embarrassment.

The Giants I am still bummed they lost the series from last year, but all the blame goes on Baker. Giving the game ball to Ortize in the 6th inning, that deserves a . I hope Alou can take that team back to the promised land. Oh, and Barry's getting closer to the record no one said could be broken. He won't do it this year, but I bet in the next 3 years, MLB could see a new home run King. Hopfully Aaron is around for that because it would be so cool for aaron to congradulate the guy.
